Every week, our development team here at BigContacts has a goal of adding at least one productivity enhancement to make your life easier, save you time or help you to grow your business.
This week I am excited to share with you a revolutionary new Contact List that will help you to view and manage your contacts in ways that you have never seen before. I think you will agree that this new list is unlike anything you have seen in other CRM systems on the market today and will ultimately allow you juggle more contact relationships in less time each day…freeing up precious time that we would all like a little more of.
As you may already know, our “Contact Dashboard” has been a fixture of our system for many years and is unique in the CRM Software space. You can neatly organize, manage and view Notes, Calls,Meetings, Tasks, Sales opportunities, Files, Photos and even capture ALL Email communication for a contact…all on one screen!
Many of you however prefer to view your contacts in more of a “list” format and we have also offered a “Contact List” for many years. In the past, this list has acted more like an advanced “Rolodex”… allowing you to scroll through your contacts to easily find and then select a contact to either view their notes and history, schedule a meeting or assign a task etc.
We have taken the best of each of view (Contact Dashboard and Contact List) and combined them into our latest version – a “NEW Contact List”. This new Contact List not only gives you more advanced tools to quickly sort and scan through your list of contacts…you can now to perform ANY action you need in order to manage each relationship without leaving the list!
Choose Your Contact List View
The first option for filtering your contact list is to choose your “list view”. You have had several options for creating this view. The list view allows you to:
- List “All Contacts”
- List only “Business Contacts”
- List only “Individual Contacts”
- List by “Contact Type”
- List by who the contact is “Assigned to”
- List by “Sales Stage”
- List by “Last Touch”
Choose How You Want to Filter Your Contact List
Depending on which “List View” you choose you will find a variety of different “Filters” available to you. These filters allow you to then further segment your particular list view. Your list instantly updates and will change view as you select each of these filters.
Sort Your Contact List in Ascending or Descending Order
Finally, after you have your list you and your filters in place you can then choose to sort them in ascending or descending order to give you exactly the view that you are looking for.
A 360 Degree View of Your Contacts
In addition to the tremendous speed at which you can move through your contact list to manage your relationships, we have added a wealth of information directly to your list so that you now have a 360 degree view of the status of each relationship.
Is like looking right inside each contact record without ever leaving your list. You will be able to see things like:
- The “next task” that is due
- The “next meeting” is scheduled
- Your current “sales opportunity”
- The last time you “touched” contact
- What that last touch or “activity” was
- When this contact was “created/added” into your BigContacts account
Manage Your Relationships Directly from Your Contact List
As mentioned earlier, can now to perform ANY action you need in order to manage each relationship without leaving the list! The square orange button that you will see in the image below that is to the left of each contact record is the equivalent of the “Action Items” button that you will find on the “Contact Dashboard”.
You now have all that you need to manage this relationship, including:
- Adding history
- Scheduling a meeting
- Assign a task
- Adding a note
- Adding a sales opportunity
- Sending a letter
- Editing the contact, etc.
There are so many possibilities with this new contact list, that I encourage you to log into your account and give it a try. I look forward to hearing your feedback on this great new productivity tool!
Currently, you can access your “NEW Contact List” by looking in the upper right-hand corner and clicking on the appropriate button in the top navigation menu. Next week we will be simplifying this even further. You will soon see a “toggle switch” that allows you to choose what view you prefer to see by default. After you set this default view, you will be of the simply click on the “Contacts” tab on the left-hand column of your screen and it will present you with the view of your preference.
